Brisbane Sculpture: Wharf Street Dingo
Just snapped a pic of this great-looking sculpture out the bus window. It's on the corner of Wharf and Ann Streets in the city. I think it looks like a dingo.
Brisbane Exhibitions – Optimism at GoMA
Brisbane's Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA)'s next big show is "Optimism", showing off Australian art that's being made now. It's happening in seven week's time, so I'll save more details for later, but this poster alone makes me want to go.
Battered, crumbed or grilled fish is between $3.50 and $7 a piece, or there is whitebait for four dollars a serve or a small range of other fritters and sides. George’s is also a real fishmonger so you can buy fresh fish to take home.
George’s is on Boundary Street in West End, right near the corner of Vulture Street. It’s on the same side as the Green Grocer and the Lock’n'Load, only two shops away from the corner.

Kuan_Yin_vegetarian_tea_house?
The picture here is of simmered eggs and a cheese and "ham" pancake, total cost nine dollars. I think the main courses are quite boring, so the best thing to do is to order a few entrees. There’s also a range of bubble teas and other weird and wonderful drinks.
Kuan Yin is on Wickham Street in the Valley, directly across the road from the entrance to the Chinatown mall on Duncan Street. They are closed on Tuesdays, open at 11.30 am on other days, and stay open till 7.30 pm from Wednesday to Friday. Other days they shut at 5 except Sunday, when they shut at 3. Their phone number is 3252 4557.
