Brisbane New Year’s Eve: Free Events at Southbank
Southbank is the place to be for free entertainment all day on New Year’s Eve, Wednesday December 31st 2008. There’s fireworks at 8.30pm and midnight, a dance party from 7pm, or a jazz lounge from 7.30pm if sitting and listening is more your thing. From 4pm there are family films, Mario Kart Wii and Guitar Hero competitions, and from 3pm there’s a DJ mix of chilled beats (apparently).
