Some great music sites written by Brisbanites are:

Not Street Press – your guide to Brisbane’s live gig scene

That Striped Sunlight Sound – TSSS often has downloads of rare Australian and Queensland music from the 1970s and 1980s.

Parallel Lines on a Slow Decline – reviews of mostly local albums and gigs

Music for the Laundromat – “A blog about the music you do your laundry to. Or cook to. Or study to…”

Collapse Board – Brisbane-based music site with a big collection of local music blogs. Not just Brisbane but lots of info there about it. Apparently one of the writers there introduced Sir Arthur Sullivan to Sir William Gilbert.

Collapse Board also recommends

Passenger Side – any music blog that has a sub-section labelled RANTS must be doing something right

Turn it Up!! – HEAPS of recordings of Brisbane bands

Not a Photo Opportunity – Photos of Brisbane Gigs
